Comments/Suggestions for upgrading my Subaru audio

The purpose of upgrading my sound system is so I can add a sub I built to my car, have bluetooth and mp3 player integration.

Sub:

My sub is a BFM design Auto Tuba.

loaded with this driver:Tang Band 740

The enclosure and driver together have an impedance of 8ohms So I need help finding an appropriate amplifier. As of now I am thinking of the MB Quart ONX1.1000D

I understand it doesnt have a rating for 8ohms but the driver is rated for 150Watts and since the amp is 475w at 4ohms there should be plenty of overhead.

Head Unit:

The stock head unit will be a Kenwood X895 or a Kenwood BT948HD

I haven't decided if I want to run usb cables into my center console or have it infront yet which is why the two head units.

Wiring:

Then finally Ill get a 8gauge wiring kit.

Any comments, in particular I'd like to know if the amp would be ok. Sorry for not having URLs, it wont let me post them

Seems pretty descent, you could even get a smaller amp, since at 8 ohms, you will be getting almost 250, but like you said, you will have some overhead.

Id like to have feedback on the amp and head unit ive chosen mostly. First off, everyone says "only go for alpine". Also I figured that a D class amp would sound just fine instead of a A/B class. From what I have read the MB quart seems to be a safe bet but I have no idea about car audio brands. For instance Crunch seems like another cheaper alternative I could pick up at Frys.

Thanks, I just needed some confirmation. I was also looking at the kenwood KAC-8105D. Also D class and 300watts at 4ohms.

Does having a kenwood receiver to amp really add any benefit?
