F*ck it, we'll do it live
So here's my predicament. I'm accept to college and I'm going and it's all a sure thing, but I can either start school or work in july or start school in the fall. I want to start school in the fall like everyone else in the collegiate world does. However, my parents want me to leave in July.

They act like I'm going to fail in life if I don't go in July, as if I'm going to die or have a kid over the Summer. Let it be established that I'm not stupid, I'm not into drugs, I can count on one hand how many times I've gotten drunk, and I don't sleep around. My main objectives over the summer are to chill at the pool, hangout with friends, and enjoy the last three months of my life before starting college.

I've made up my mind, there's no way they can force me to go to college, and I'm not likely to change my mind, but I'm just wondering if you guys think I'm making a bad decision by not going early.

dont go early, you want time with your friends, time to work and get some money, and mentally prepare for college, i had the same predicament. also, everyone else goes in the fall, itll be better starting off with everyone else and getting some more friends and stuff because those of you who have no idea what ur doing yet will be drawn together whether u like it or not. its better to be in step with everyone else and keep the same basic school time structure as you have had since you were 5

Go. It cuts a semester off the end of your schooling. The sooner you start the sooner you end.
A semester? If he starts in july maybe 6 hours? And thats a load too

Seems pointless to start 1-2 months early IMO

Summer classes arent bad and all, but i'd wait and start in the fall, thats my 2 cents

i'm not worried about when i finish, I don't mind school, sometimes i even like it, so i'm sure i'll enjoy school

Depending on where you go Freshman year is a huge PITA because of the huge workload. A lot of colleges like to pile on a ton of stuff freshman year to sorta weed out the people that are actually dedicated to getting an education. I say wait until fall and enjoy your summer while you can because that first year is going to be a huge headache for you
