Cold weather vs. Amplifier.

I know all the wiring is done right. I've got 4awg Knu Fleks running to the amp. All the connections are tight, the wire is loomed, fused at 100A. In fact, the power wire install was downright pretty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I'm pretty sure its the battery being gay.

i would be willing to bet that is exactly what it is , batteries do not like the cold at all.

I played it at 25-27/35 the rest of the way (Max listening volume, where I set the gains at) and it was still going strong after 12 hours.

my head unit spit a regular cd out for about 10 mins wen i has ice on my windshield, but played dvds perfect. cold weather slows electrons and electronic components...matter of fact im sure you seen the manswers where they were like the bomb squad FREEZES the wires leading to a bomb to disable the bomb so to say it would work good frozen is prob half truth

how old is your battery? im willing to bet its going bad. here in ohio battery purchases spike in the winter because a battery that works just fine when its 50, might not work when it drops below 30. my battery worked just fine 3 weeks ago, it dropped below 30 and would barely even crank. had to replace it.

hmmm... id say its worth it to take it up and have it tested. i got a stinger batt last year for my girlfriends car, brand new, that worked for a few weeks until it got cold. then when it wouldnt start her car i had it tested and it was bad.

voltage can show good and still not have the needed amperage tho. just test it to be safe. it is free so why not right? it could also be the alt as well

yeah, just trying to rule out all possibilites. just going through my head of all cold weather situations ive had and in the last 6 years ive probably had 10+ amps in my car and not once, even in below 0 weather, have i had any issues. any issues ive had have all been battery related. good luck trying to figure it out.

I grew up in jville. I just moved not to long ago to tally for school. I had a jbl gto1200 that I cranked all the time. When it was cold, it seemed to to better, or im retarded.

I would say like everyone else its your electrical. Maybe its just a coincidence thats its cold and having issues?

car has a new alty as well. its a little less than a year old.

that doesnt mean it is still good tho. i have seen a 20% or better failure rate out of the box brand new
