The new cd is a U2ish sound with much better lyrics then the first two albums put out by coldplay(IMHO). At first, I didn't care for it to much and then I listented to it again and again and I started to enjoy it. I still think Rush of blood to the head was the best one they made.

If you cant appreciate their first two albums, I'd question your artistic sense. They are one of the few "mainstream" groups that deserve it, that make real music. I havent really listened to their new album though.

It's in the same style, but the whole CD is pretty good. You can tell it took a good bit of blow and cheeba to make that album. I must be gay, cause that concert was quite good.

The song "Til Kingdome Come", which is the last song on X & Y, was written for Johnny Cash to perform. He was going to but died before he could, so Coldplay did it as a bonus track. I think Parachutes is their best album and if you can't appreciate how good Don't Panic and Spies are musically, then you're either semi-retarded or are too ignorant to get past your own presumptions or stereotypes. Worse yet, you might be too easily led to look beyond a movie line. Btw for those of you jackoffs who can't appreciate them, watch the opening scene of Garden State and tell me if you still feel the same.
