Can anyone give me a little information as to what is good/bad with coaxial speakers. I am looking to add rear fill with coaxial 6.5 inch rear speakers. My system is top notch so I don't want to skim here. Here are the terms that I'm having problems with, which is best?

Tweeter design - dome, inverted dome, balanced dome?

3-way or 2-way?

Tweeter composition - Titanium, Mylar, Textile?

Woofer composition - Polypropylene, Copolymer, Mica injected Polypropylene?

Woofer surround - butyl rubber, foam, rubber?

Watts - if I'm running from a high powered HU with no amp and the HU is 50 watts?

Sensitivity - 87-92, is low or high better?

Frequency - 52-21000hz or 80-21000 or 40-32000, bigger range better or higher range?

1) Speaker design & the materials used can color the sound. Its your own preference that determines which "color" you like. Obviously some materials hold up better than others.

2) When it comes to coaxials, anything more than a 2 way is a gimmick.

3), 4) & 5) See #1

6) Not sure the question but your HU isn't 50 watts, even if it claims to be.

7) Higher sensitivity is better but its not the most accurate of specs given different variables. I wouldn't trust it as a judge of who's louder.
