Coax or Comp?

I was trying to avoid the coax setup because of the very misconception that components sound better but I just can't make my mind up between the two. I know I want the speakers to be @ least 100 rms up front and the rear but no good coaxials seem to meet that mark unless there 6.5 inches or around that size. I also wanted to keep the stock look so I was going to keep the 5.25 size but since the tweeter is so far away in an altima (2002), a component setup MAY sound uneven. I know there are some setups that meet my 100 rms requirement and the reason I want them @ 100 rms is because when I upgrade my subwoofer, it will be 1000 rms instead of the 300 rms I'm running now. I was aiming for powerful sound inside the car as well as the trunk but not one setup so loud that it drowns out the other.

I currently have a Infinity Reference 4 channel amp that gets 116 watts @ 4ohms (i believe thats right) so I guess my question is what speakers (comp or coax) would go well with that amp?

I'm not an audiophile but I don't want my music to sound like shit either...

I'd say no more than 100 but in an 3rd gen altima, the mid & tweeter aren't very close so I don't want the front stage to sound like its missing something

My car has 6x9s in the back.. those could work with an adapter but I don't wanna go that route nor adapt a 6.5 in a 5.25 space up front in the doors.. those speakers do look good though

you should also deaden your doors, yes it will help

depends on the quality of your coaxials...The Critical Mass RS6's sound better than some of the best componet system that I have ran.....including old school MB Quarts and Boston Pro's.....

hell yeah they expensive...like $500-600.. not in my budget @ all
