Cloverfield, Go see it...

Blair Witch Project does Manhattan.

Also, I hate how it takes "half an hour" to get two F-16's armed and into downtown Manhattan(after the army had already been there for quite some time)...that'd take 5 min tops real life and they would've used much more powerful shit than m16's and what appeared to be tomahawk missiles. How do they get a whole fleet of tanks and humvees into downtown Manhattan with all that traffic hours before the F16's?

Movie just plain sucks.

Forgetting the fact that it is a movie, and since when have movies been accurate. I like how everyone over analyzes things like this.

It's not a bad movie at all, I enjoyed it. The camera work is pretty bad, I mean, its hard to see sometimes because its bouncin all over the place (supposedly because they are running).

But WTF! that monster was... WTF?

and I didn't see anything in the beach end (when they are at coney island) I looked and tried to spot something in the water, but i couldn't.

Anyone have a youtube link they can post up so i can see?

SPOILER ALERT. Don't read unless you want to:

Copy and Pasted from a site. About the meteor shower at the end.

"The Meteor Explanation

"Tagruato tracked a piece of space debris,

Possibly PART OF A SATTELITE, It fell into the atlantic before being identified.

(it's possible it could be the source of the parasite, who knows.

for the sattelite info see tagruato.jp (down at the moment)

now look on any other cloverfield site, any there is loads.

look at the production notes,

heres the important bit.

The concept for the monster (affectionately known simply as “Clover” in-house) is simple, says Abrams. “He’s a baby. He’s brand-new. He’s confused, disoriented and irritable. And he’s been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years.”

Ok please people bump this I am sick of posting it several times every day."

I researched about this movie last night for a little bit because I couldn't believe how bad it was. After reading more into the movie, it really wasn't as bad as I previously thought. But it still needed some work imo. At the end of the credits, apparently (I don't know for sure because I walked out when it ended) but you can hear the guy saying "It's still alive" or "Is it still alive?" Cloverfield 2 here we come I guess....

Spoiler Over

That movie **** balls, Story line dint explain anything and its basically a wanna be godzilla
the story line wasn't suppoed to explain anything.

That was the point.

Has no one ever seen lost? J.J. Abrams does that too, and if you expect a show with answers from him, then you are very, very mistaken.

The idea is to draw your own conclusions and actually think about it.

Oh, it's the director from Lost? Now I am deffintley not going to see it, lol!
no he didn't direct it, he was the lead producer. I think that is his same title on this movie as well.

It's definately almost nothing like lost, no where near as many loose ends.

just saw this. have to say i really liked it. probably the best monster movie ive seen (which may not be saying much considering the category).

after the movie began to pick up pace i personally had gotten used to the camera style. and overall i think the camera style really helped build up the suspense. if they would have used a more traditional way of shooting, then i think the movie would have really turned out like the 1998 godzilla.

i can understand how some people may not be able to get past the hand held camera concept, but if your not one of those people i would really recommend it. especially if you like monster movies.

there was a boat in the bottom right corner, that it crashed into the water next to. missing this is not really a big deal as long as you are aware it happened.

and that was a problem for me as well. if something that big crashed into the water from space, that would be like a miniature armageddon or deep impact

i saw the boat, in fact, i was fixed on it because I thought I would see something near it. But I didn't.

Ah well. Good movie I'd have to agree with what you said.

I think the best scene was when they are trying to get to the subway-in the subway.

It was a very good movie for a MONSTER MOVIE.

People are expectnig like an award-winning-breath-taking movie that can be compared to other movies...

You can't really compare this to the notebook and shit, ****.

After the movie was over last night. So many people were angry/disspaointed... I think this is mainly because of the ending and unexpected events.

The movie is NOT predictable. It Does NOT make u sick unless ur a total *****.

Special Effects and Sound were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEE IT
