went to the 4:50 show i must say the movie is really good with alot of gunfire and this "thing" will not DIE for nothing it just keeps going...king kong and godzilla dont have shit on this beast i just hope they will make another movie

There was nothing to it. We had to make up and imagine half the movie. What ended up happening in NY? Did the monster die? Why was it there? How did it get there? Why did it come out and rip everything to pieces? Little things come off him and make people blow up when they get bit, thats just retarded. Girl has a thing in her chest and can't move but magically is able to run down the street a few minutes later? Did the girl in the first helicopter survive? What about everyone else at the movie? I understand its just a movie but ****, tie up some of the loose ends.

Just left so many unanswered questions. I don't know about the people in your theaters but at mine (which was sold out), there was laughter at the end of the movie because of how retarded it was. The people who were waiting for the 9pm showing were being told by the people walking out to not waste your money or time seeing it.

Currently Cloverfield is maintaining a user rating of 8.3 out of 10 on IMDb. 78% of the Rotten Tomatoes critics gave the movie positive write-ups, based on 107 reviews. Roger Ebert gave the movie 3 out of 4 stars also. So in no way is this movie "terrible." lol

I agree there will probably be a sequel but what will it be about? Will the monster have lived or will there be more of them? Or will we just find out everything I just questioned above?

Regardless, I'll end up seeing the sequel if there is one just because I've seen the first and hated it, it can only get better I guess lol.

I was entertained, but I won't bother watching it again when it's released on DVD.

i know its just a movie, but don't we have bombs that level city blocks? they were standing around shooting bullets at it like it was a rabid dog.

personally, i didnt care for it. definitely not worth $10.
