Clipping

Who set them? If it was you, then you should know what they're set to...
i didnt set them..my friend did. he knows a good bit about car audio..the thing is..is i was just worried about the clipping happening occasionally and if i should be worried..here are the pics.

If you cant read those numbers the one on the left says 20hz and the one on the right says 200Hz for the LPF

i never told anyone to set the gains to 3/4 you should read it a second time. i said make sure its not past 3/4. i never said set gains that high. he obv has no idea what hes doing so im making sure its not maxed out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

on the gain is that beyond the 1/2 point or is it befor becuase you cant tell by looking at it. otherwise everything else looks good.
i think its set right at half.. like i was saying earlier..it doesnt clip a lot just some and during some notes..its not constant maybe 5 seconds worth out of a whole minute. thats not bad is it? i mean its not gonna fry my coils or anything?

well wala. looks like we found a winner. get a nice battery upfront with a nice ho alt (if needed) and youll be golden. if its only clipping for a quick second or so id say ignore it for now untill you upgrade the battery.

its going to be a few months before i can get a new battery though..so will i be okay until then?

Your still incorrect. You think the gain NEVER needs to be set past 3/4? You can't just tell him an arbitrary value and have him set it there. If his pre-out voltage is really small he may need to set the gain higher than 3/4. It all depends. There is no magic number that you can set every gain in the world to, it's installation dependent.
