Clicking sound ON/OFF

Guys,

I just bought a Xenon 600.1. Just installed it tonight.

I noticed a clicking sound coming from the amp when i turn the engine ON or OFF. My stereo is set to turn on when the car is turned on.

Is this normal? My octane amp I previously owned did not have this "click'.

Side note: I don't have a sub yet, but I did tape the speaker wires.

normal, that is just a relay clicking in the amp when power is applied.

im guessing the amp doesnt have the soft turn on feature

Soft turn on just means no loud "thump" from the speakers. It doesn't refer to the sound the amplifier emits when it turns on.
