Just to clarify a bit...i know someone like you, JimJ, punkorama, and a few others would not be satisfied because you guys are more SQ based guys from the posts i have read over time on this forum, but i would venture to say most people would be happy with the right install. i know i was quite surprised with it, and im digging the sub. just my .02c
Just to clarify a bit...
I don't agree with SPL competition. I don't agree with "SPL" subwoofers. I don't agree with blasting rap music all day, every day.
I do understand why people do it and everyone is very entitled to their own personal preferences.
But I still say, as much as anyone will listen...
Why is the standard mic position STILL on the dash for SPL competitions? Especially for Street and Super Street, wouldn't the headrest make more sense?
i knew it was too good to be true... im still going to start a thread to find out where i should go to order it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifNo... They just have a fake site to trick people...
its just the way the sport is... why does america not adopt the metric system? because it doesnt make sense to most, and they would rather just keep calling things what they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifWhy is the standard mic position STILL on the dash for SPL competitions? FWIW...my btl sounds better than my sx's did, which are considered a daily woofer. And these are not "SPL" subs.
I think the OP was talking about MT's, BTL's, Solo's, etc...
yes, yes it would lolJust to clarify a bit...

Surely we can round up enough people with common sense so that it can be changed?its just the way the sport is... why does america not adopt the metric system? because it doesnt make sense to most, and they would rather just keep calling things what they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
its not that it needs to be changed... its just that the people that want to measure from a location other than the legal position need to learn to compete in those classes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifSurely we can round up enough people with common sense so that it can be changed?
The US and the metric system...that's a whole other world that, again, I don't totally understand.
You're comparing two completely different things. Going fast is fun as hell no matter what way you put it. How is listening to 150db fart noises considered fun?people buy cars that are fast in a straight line, but dont turn very well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
there is a market for everything, and for many people, they dont need/want something that is going to be good all around, but they would rather have something that is amazing for a few things.
look at how many GSXR1300's suzuki sells... fast bike, but not great in the twisties, yet they still sell like hot cakes for the streets, because they suit many peoples interests.
no, they are two VERY comparable things...You're comparing two completely different things. Going fast is fun as hell no matter what way you put it. How is listening to 150db fart noises considered fun?
i have a friend that has been in a few VERY fast cars, and a 5.0 that can do a straight wheelie from a dead stop...he doesnt find it fun after only 1 run in the car. so just cause he finds it boring...does it automatically mean his preference is garbage since it doesnt agree with yours? (not talking to you hoss)no, they are two VERY comparable things...
if you are too narrow minded/stubborn to understand that, then you fail at understanding car audio altogether...
why do you think they call it DB drag? its the exact same theory as drag racing.
drag racing = go as fast as possible in a straight line
DB drag = be as loud as possible for a certain freq.
road racing = be the best/fastest around a course consisting of ups/downs/lefts/rights
SQ = be the best sounding over the entire spectrum of audible freq's.
saying that comparing SPL to drag racing is two different things is an ignorant statement. some people might not like going fast at all, so drag racing isnt for them. some people enjoy SPL and loud stereos, same thing as drag racing.
now please go pound some common sense into yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i can agree with that, but at the same token, do all drag racers go foot to the floor from stoplight to stoplight?i have a friend that has been in a few VERY fast cars, and a 5.0 that can do a straight wheelie from a dead stop...he doesnt find it fun after only 1 run in the car. so just cause he finds it boring...does it automatically mean his preference is garbage since it doesnt agree with yours?
