I think his point is, how often are you going to listen to music at 140+ dB, it is unreasonable for several factors and i will assume these two factors: its a disturbance to those around you and it can damage your hearing. IMHO, there is nothing wrong with having a loud daily driver, but there is no need to blast it loud all the time.

and thats your opinion. who are you to say what is a need for me and what isnt?

as for how often am i going to listen to music at 140+db everyday? i listened to my 2 15" sx's off 3kw at full tilt about everyday when i had them a couple years back...

You're right, who am I to say that? Go tell that to a cop that pulls you over in a residential area at 2 AM, let's see what happens then. There is a thing called respect and being curteous. With your response it seems you lack that. I guess you also don't care about losing your hearing, because it will have a long-term affect whether you realize it now or not.

and i have said 1000x i dont even play my system in residential areas in other posts on this forum. why do you keep assuming things?

i got a ticket in an industrial type zone, with nothing but defunct buildings. but i guess i was pissing off people that werent there.

I'm not assuming, you're assuming that I'm assuming. I just mentioned if you were to do that in a residential area that would happen. Even if it was in an industrial area, the freeway, or wherever it may be, there are noise ordinances in the city's charter. I work in city hall so I know. It doesn't matter where you are, if you are breaking the law, you are breaking the law, can't argue with that. And i'll revert back to what I said, I'm not going to tell you how to play your music, but your response, if made to an official, would certainly not be taken so lightly. And i'm sure you wouldn't be stupid and give that response, rather, you will take the ticket and pay the fine. Also, not EVERYONE drives through industrial areas.
