Clean Sounding Subs

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. Just a little update to what I have right now.

I currently drive a 2003 4Runner. I have the stock navigation head unit. I have a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 500.2 Amplifier. I have 2 12" Image Dynamics ID's. Only one of them is really working and its pretty much on its way out.

I am looking for really clean sounding subs that hit very nice. I don't need Extremely loud just great sounding.

I have between 400 and 500 to spend on Subwoofer's and Box.

All suggestions are welcome.

Mach 5 Audio...either the MAW 15 or MJ 18. both would do nicely

an mj-18 on that power would be just right in a sealed box or a ported box you will have a lot of SQ

For SQ look into FI Q, Re XXX(probably not for that cost), jlw7(even tho people hate it, it is a very clean sounding sub, infinity kappa perfects dvq, alpine x.

These are all SVC 4 Ohms or DVC 2 Ohms that would do nicely with about 500W RMS:

Polk SR124

PG RSd12

Fi Q

Infinity Kappa Perfect 12VQ

TC Sounds TC-1000

Ascendant Audio Assassin 12 (if you can find one)

As for a box, HFSC has an Audio Enhancer 1cf sealed box for around $61 shipped.

Where are a few reliable places you guys would recommend to buy these from?

Are you guys suggesting 1 or 2 subs?

Should I just pop out my 2 ID's and replace them? or buy a specialized box for the subs purchased?
