Classifying Amps (High, Middle, Low)

The PG RSD is what I would consider your highest end amp listed. It's no slouch either and for that year it is PGs highest level available.

Another thing to remember is that MOST every company has a low, middle and high level.

One of the highest end brands out there even have a "low end". It's a low end to them, but not to others. To others it might compare equally to their high end. I'm looking at Audison's LRx5.1k amp, which LRx is their middle line, and that could be considered a higher end brand then ALMOST anything mainstream.

They are 4ohm together, 2 ohm apiece..correct? So i need to look for an amp stable, putting out max power at 1ohm.. which the audioque does. so it looks like a good match.

How would i wire them>?

Hmm. Subwoofer wiring diagrams don't help you learn how to wire your subs.
I don't think I can help ya, man...
Dude, there are more than 2 voice coils in those diagrams. on my kicker box, there is only a positive and a negative coil. It says 4ohm. For both subs combined, not on each.

Those are NOT coils on the box. Those are just connectors. The connectors have wires inside the box that go to the terminals on the woofer(s).

You need to find out what resistance the woofers are inside the box to find out what wiring options you have.

If you have TWO dual 4ohm woofers in the box each wired parallel then each output on your box will be at 2ohms. Then if you wire these two together your final load will be 1ohm.

If your woofers are Dual 2 ohm and each is wired in series inside the box then each output on your box will show a 4ohm load. Then when you wire these two together to a mono amp your final load will be 2ohm.

Hope this clears things up for you a bit.

I am guessing that your 4ohm final load is stating that your woofers are dual 4ohm and wired in series inside the box....BUT you could rewire down to 1ohm if you need to......
