im lookin into buying a clarion dpx11551 amp just to have a little more power on my hdc3 and its very cheap at the moment. its mainly just a temporary amp until i get a second sub and upgrade to a much larger amp. amp class gh?? ive never come across or heard any amps in this class. what do you guys know about them?

The simple way to think of it is the Class GH amplifier provides class ab type sound while doing it with near class d efficiency.

g and h are slightly different, id use g for mids/highs and d for woofers..

Maybe I am out of my mind, but as long as the amplifier produces clean power, I really can't tell the difference between class ab, d, or gh on subwoofers. Remember, that is the area of the sound reproduction spectrum where our ears are least sensitive to picking up subtle differences.

Arc Audio made they and they sound awesome.

I just replaced my Arc Audio KS 1000.1 with a Image Dynamics Q 1200.1 I really like both of the amps a lot. They are nice but if I am truly honest I can not really tell any difference in the sound from my ID subs. They both sound amazing. I really like the Image Dynamics more but it is just a personal opinion really.
