Class D mono on a budget? Need advice...

Hey guys, im new to car audio and im trying to build my first system. For now im just looking to add a sub to my existing setup.

Im going to be running a single alpine type r 1242D in a vented box. Im looking for a good class D mono amp to power them. Something between 500-750w clean power. I want to stay closer to 750 if possible in case I would decide to change out the sub for something with a little power handling. For an example I was looking at the Kicker 08zx750.1. BUT, its a little out of my pricerange.

It doesnt have to be the greatest amp ever made, but I dont want junk either. I want to stay between $150-$200 and Id really like remote bass control. I am also willing to buy used. Every used kicker 750.1 ive found has been around $150, but was alos sold before i got to it.

I did run across a 2 1/2 yr old RF power 1000bd that I can buy for $150 but im worried that might be too much amp for just this one little sub.

Any thoughts?

Hifonics brutus line tends to be recommended a lot for budget sub amps, I've had a couple with out any problems and fall in your price range.

Buy the older rf. It's a great amp and will be great in case you decide to get another. def the best amp they ever made, was designed by zed audio, the people who help make orion etc. rated at 600 but puts out much more then that as it is rated at 12vs unlike many other amps, i owned the a7hc and its the 2nd best amp i have ever had, and i have had sundown amps, audioque in that wattage range, small footprint and only 60 amp draw, if you see its 95 percent efficient
