Class D amps and radio reception

Hadn't seen that article before, stones. 'Twas a good read. Thanks for posting it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

...and I remain happy that my Class D doesn't interfere with my radio reception ~ 'til now I was unaware that they could!

My PG T1200.1 doesn't interfere with my radios...and trust me, with the gear I've got running in there, I would know. Now if only I could stop my spark plugs and fuel pump from spewing interference from the AM broadcast band to 50MHz...I was talking on the six meter FM calling frequency tonight and had a really high noise floor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Opti 1000.1D blows my AM reception all to hayell, but doesn't effect FM. I put a switch in the remote line so I can switch the sub amp off whenever I'm in the mood for sports/news/politics.

FM, because of the modulation scheme, is a pretty good noise filter. The receiver will pretty much only lock on to the strongest signal it receives, so the interference stays well under the noise floor...the problem I get is that with a nine foot antenna, the interference simply overloads the receiver's front end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif The antennas on the roof are nowhere near as sensitive to being interfered with.
