Clarion vx404 help please!

First post, new to forums. Was playing video, hit settings and unit went haywire. Tried reset button, nothing. Tried software updates from Clarion, nothing. Unit now boots into a Windows CE desktop. Can I get new software somewhere? Can I send it somewhere for reinstallation? I bought it from a well reviewed eBay retailer. Bought in February, but just installed last weekend. Only running a week. I realize clarion will not honor factory warranty. Please help!

Try disconnecting the power wiring for approx 1 hr. then connect and see if it resets/starts to function properly. Ive had a few Clarions in the past that I had to do that with to get to reset.If it continues, you will need to contact Clarion and speak to a tech. for the issue.Try removing power first for the 1 hour,and then reconnect..Worked for me in the past

I disconnected the car battery for about 15 minutes or so. Not long enough?

Clarion is junk imho . Despite there 90 day warranty on the box I bought a NX702 dropped a grand on the unit and backup cam and it lasted about 3 months but had problems after a week . Wouldnt read the microSD card then nav started failing . After a while the whole unit stopped working and because I didnt buy it from an authorized dealer Clarion wouldnt honor the warranty and I lost a 1000 bucks .

I wouldnt buy another clarion product ever again . They dont stand behind their products despite them being 3 months old . They wanted 300 to fix it . I told them pound sand and football it off in the woods.
