clarion DXZ745MP and comparable headunits

what are comparable headunits to the clarion? i was thinkin alpine 9831. are there any others? and which would you choose based on price and features? i really like the alpine interface but im thinking since clarion isnt as hyped as alpine you can probably get more features from the clarion for an equal or lesser cost than an alpine.
