Clarion DXZ715 - cd player problems

When I just have my stereo on in my jeep, it words just fine - cd player. When I start up my jeep, cd player will not reconize the cd saying error 3 or 6. I do not know if it is my unit or my jeep. ANybody have a clue what may be the issue.

More than likely the CD meckanizim is going out. When the jeep is running, the current (from the alt) mess' w/the CD player. Cost me 160 to have mine fixed. I used a CD lens cleaner that scratched the hell out of the lens. Keep in mind that was the high end unit they had at the time. Err3 means it can't read the CD, which is what I was displayed.
