Circuit City.....

almost all meters have some variance in them. To find one that doesn't is extremely difficult.
True. But the ground should measure pretty much the same resistance between the grounding point and the neg battery post as you get when you touch the test leads together. If you get a measurable increase you have a bad ground point. That's my point.

If the amp ground is truly that bad, it is the problem. The ticking sound from the blinkers is from a shared ground path not from the proximity of the RCAs to the wires for the lights.

Well, the ground looks good, the paint is scratched away and its not loose and not corroded, I didnt realize .2ohms was so bad, i thought it was nearly impossible to get down to zero, especially with these meters not being entirely accurate. We can try to reground it and see if that helps, but I just dont think thats it. The wierd thing is, sometimes the sub doesnt pick up the noise, it sounds fine. Then other times its very noticable.

BTW, the car is a Ford Explorer.

i've seen wierder things dude, including the scenario I just named. You can't rule ANYTHING out when dealing with 12 volts.

A few things I would do to check is take the turn on lead off and just jump the power input of the amp to the turn on lead see if it goes away might be from the deck like others have said if it is and it is running from the remote output of the deck move it to the accessory power input to the deck sometimes it works. If that is not it I would question what kind of RCA's are being used are they a quality set or the 20 doller walmart special might be picking up some lines of flux where they are ran. Are they ran along the oposit or same side as the power wire. What kind of amp are you running by the way? hope some of these sugestions help l8er
