I did a little searching on ebay, and I think that the JL Audio Coaxials would give me the best for my money. They're a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but I also searched the forums, and the extra $10 will get me away from Kicker, Alpine, and Clarion components which don't live up to their higher end products.

Any thoughts before I go ahead and buy a pair?

i had some pioneer rev coax's and honestly loved them

Pioneer Revs are out of my budget. At ~$80 + shipping I can not afford them. I can get the JLs for $60 shipped.

He's used Pioneer all his life, from his first car. He thinks them > all. I need to fix him of that.
