I've compared these batteries several times... and the Optima wins everytime... Old vs. New, New vs. Old... dont matter... the Optima has always been at least .4 ahead of everything except the Big Amp Battery (which is 30" long?)

i have seen it work all ways. i have people swear the oddyssey is the best i have seen same with optima and we even have people that use kinetik say the regular kinetiks get louder than the others (have seen straight drop in tests that show it all different what might be louder in bob's car might not be in john's). 1 thing i learned real quick is variables make the difference., but i would still take any of these 3 over a wet cell. i was big into car audio when there were 2 types of batteries wet cells and optima and i seen many messes with wet cells. leaks and corossion is a nasty clean up. not only that but the sealed give you more options as far as location and positioning.

i run three of them in my boat. the two for the system that i drain almost everytime out and charge before i go out the next time dont like to last more than a two or three seasons.

I was on the Metropolitan Solar Cup team last year and our tests showed that Optimas were the best for our application of powering a solar boat. I am not sure how much different that is from cars, but I am gonna go pick up a Optima tomorrow. I have heard mixed things about both batteries. But honestly, if my battery dies, it's a hell of alot easier to take it an Autozone to just get the free replacement then to try and send it back to Kinetic. I don't know of anywhere around me that sells kinetic batteries.

wet cells are like interstates (they have a top you can pop off) sealed do not have this. the batteries with the caps can only mount one way and can leak.
