Wiring in a BMW help

Info on the wiring in the car right now.

The battery is in the trunk from the factory, the power wire goes from the alternator to a distribution block under the hood, and a wire from the distribution block goes back to the battery in the trunk. The battery in the trunk is grounded to the frame. It has the stock Bosch 85 amp alternator.

Now, what i will be installing..

JL 300/2 for the front components.

JL 300/2 for the rear components.

JL 1000/1 for the sub.

The power and ground wires from the amp are only going to go from the battery in the trunk to the amp rack, so they will not be long at all. I do believe that the amps need 4 awg inputs, so i was planning on running 0/1 AWG to a distribution block, then running 4 AWG to the two 300/2's.

As for the sub, i was going to run a direct 4 AWG from the battery to the amp.

Should i connect the grounds to the battery or to the chassis where the battery connects to. I was going to buy Knukoncept battery terminals aswell.

Yes, an upgraded alternator is in order. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My question, do you think i should upgrade the wiring running to the battery from the alternator...? I dont know what awg it is, but the actual diameter of the actual wire is 9.75 MM.
