chipped slug on motor

How much does it effect the motor if one of the slugs has had a nice size chip taken out of it but the previous owner glued it back on. Got a chance to pick up a pair of motors for a good price. But if the chip effects it a lot I'm not going to mess with them

How big is it exactly?

I don't think gluing it back on helps at all since it is now a big magnet with a smaller magnet glued on.

And I'm sure this isn't an issue as I've seen several motors with the slugs not perfectly aligned

I don't know how much the chip affects performance but I don't think you can just glue it back in and have it perform the same as if it was damaged. I think that would be like taking a small motor and trying to glue a bunch of small Neo magnets to it to increase motor force.

It has lil to no affect. When I say lil I mean miniscule lol

As far as the chip goes, leave it or get rid of it. It makes no difference.

Thats what i was assuming. i know my older btl's had a few chips from the previous owner and they were not affected. Thanks fellas!

as rob said no real effect in performance.

what ya gotta watch is chips is where slugs crack from. not saying the slug will but could be a fracture, look it over but dont fret it...
