I'm not a fan of talking about what governments should do about drugs since many MANY governments, including the US govt has profited on both ends of the drug trade.

There are many reports on how government officials brought drugs like heroin, marijuana and cocaine into the country and allowed it to be sold in urban areas like miami, new york, parts of new jersey, oakland, and LA. yet the local police forces are going around chasing/catching/convicting these drug pushers the govt gave the drugs to sell to. Let us not forget the many political contributions that come from mafia and drug cartels. The whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth so I try not to get wrapped up in who truly is the "bad guy." Best thing to do is to protect potential victims by educating them on why you can't use drugs to "medicate" problems because there will ALWAYS be people to deal drugs legitimately or illegally.

I've worked in pharmaceuticals for the last 8 years, I can also tell you that legal drugs can become a worse and more expensive route than illegal ones.

and yes, they have legal forms of cocaine used for surgery

I see little or no difference between you and Michael Jackson. You both blame the fact that you love to get high on some "injury."

I have been shot twice and I never became an addict. I have seen men who had limbs blown off and they relied on their own strength, not drugs.

If you get hurt you cowboy up and you take the pain. Simple as that.

Or, you can be some gender confused crybaby and claim you have a right to check out on your life.

And people wonder why healthcare costs are so high.

I am strong willed so I don't use drugs in the first place.
