It gives them cause to stop them and then arrest them for things like public intoxication, warrants, and possession.

In other news...

A plumber was arrested and fined today, for intentionaly showing crack while working on some plumbing. The surprised man claims he was on his way to his truck to retrieve a pipe wrench when he was rushed by the police officers.

He was fined 100 dollars and ordered to attend trouser sensitivity training at the local rehab center.

You dont mind flushing more rights down the drain just so the gov't can give out tickets and be fashion police? Isnt there better things they can do then going around checking peoples pant lengths? And how is the law worded? What if my pants just sag a little bit, is it up to the individual officer or is there an amount of "inches" that makes it illegal? Arent there enough laws already that would enable cops to stop them, such as being "suspicious." People like you disgust me, throwing your fckin rights away at a whim. Go to Russia, fckin commie.

It just so happens that a majority of prisoners who are in due to drugs, guns, etc, belong to these groups. I don't support this particular law, and obviously you misread my reply.... I asked if it was so bad that the po-po have a reason to search people while being part of illegal activities.

Im fat, and so I like loose fit pants. It just so happens that they sag every now and again, especially when I work on my car. Do I think I should be given a ticket for showing my buttocks while changing my spark plugs? No.

In fact, I think that people who wear oversized pants and shirts are at a disadvantage if they try to run from the po-po anyway. When your pants drop to your ankles you can only run so fast... and wearing a parachute for a shirt doesn't help matters any either.
