only thing ur gunna use from the 305 is the block (unless u got one from a 350) from their on a 383 build involves turning the crank boring that ***** out .30 over and the rest is aftermarket parts homie. for just under 4k u can simply buy a 383. prob pretty close in price unless u do the work urself

u cant use a 305 block for any 383......305 blocks are not worth 5 bucks
