Chevy Cobalt amp installation. RF 500-1 Prime amp.

My buddy has a 06 Cobalt and him and I are going to attempt to do this install ourselves. He has a RF Prime 500.1 and a 12" L5. The battery is in the trunk on the cobalt. He bought a basic 4 gauge wiring kit... not sure what all it contains. Can I get any advice or a short walk through from someone who has done work in a cobalt? Thanks!!
