Chevy Cavalier - Details Inside

Hey, I'm new here of course and before i start rambling i will get right into it so i don't waste to much of your time.

Basically, I have a Chevy cavalier and i had a set of logitech Z-2300 speakers laying around. I decided to put 2 and 2 together and managed to make up some wacky installation to install them into the car. Now long story short after a lot of blood and sweat they are working in the car... kind of.

Basically all i did was buy a 600W power inverter, put the inverter in the interior of the car and put the inverter wires directly to the battery and then hook the speakers into the inverter. Now i will show a whole load of pictures at the end of this thread and you experts can tell me what you figure but my first questions or statement is:

Sometimes the system cuts out. Not cut out like short out or drain out the power or the car dies or anything it is just sometimes the speakers will be playing (some times it was playing really loud and they went and sometimes they weren't loud at all so i know its not an overload problem) the inverter has some type of mechanical beeping sound that it does on errors and sometimes it goes off. Now it must be a problem that i did because when this happens all you have to do is shut off the inverter and then turn it back on and everything works like normal. this just gets annoying in the middle of a song sometimes and this happens. or if it happens a lot in a row. the weird thing is sometimes this doesn't happen at all. and i said sometimes way to many times there haha.

Anyway. after you guys figure that out (not trying to sound like an *** here, like do this do that, just moving on to my other curiosities) my second question is:

is it possible to wire these logitech z-2300's up to the actual car itself, or the car speakers per say? right now i either listen to the radio and have the default speakers on and things like that or i turn off the deck and all of that and i turn on the inverter and speakers and plug my ipod into that and listen to the speakers. it would be really cool to make it all as one if you know what i mean. Anyway if you have any ideas of how to do that let me know. Of course there will be a whole bunch of pictures of the deck and everything for you to check out at the end of the thread. i took some pictures of the speakers in the back to to show you the connectors if that helps

sorry if there are doubles i took 2 different sets and just decided to upload them all

anyway if you need any more information let me know, i tried my best and any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks Boys and girls!

sorry about mess the image limit got me messed up.

Half of the people out there would think that is a good system. I'd send it to my buddy, who is a car audio 'tard, and he'd probably say "I wanna do that" since it'd be cheaper to do shit ghetto like that than to buy a sub, box, amp and wire.

There are too many people who want car audio so cheap that they resort to desperate tactics like this.

Like the guy in this thread: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/general-discussion/474392-ebay.html. So desperate for a system, but is only willing to spend $50 on subs and a box? I'd rather have no system, than running completely shitty equipment just so I could (attempt to) impress my friends.

tell me about it. ive owned a car audio biz for years dude, and i cant hack it anymore honestly. i make basically no margin on products and people think im crazy to charge 40 to 60 bucks to put in a radio. places like ebay, craigslist, and sonic electronics are putting people like me out of business. we have to make a profit to have a building and show room and pay our people, small business creates jobs for everyone. i know saving some money id a good thing but supporting your local businesses shuld make you all think also. we are here to make a profit, just like anyone else would want to. its just sad to see pics like this and hear people talking about ow cheep they can getstuff on line and they dont realize the impact itreally makes on local people and families. its always been a dream of mine to own a car audio business, but im really going to have to close my doors here soon and move on....kindof makes me want to cry....but oh well life goes on....

A buddy and I are trying to do local box building and installs and I'm already getting tired of it. People don't understand that shit costs money to have it run properly, and most are fine with "well it works, so it's fine"

Like the guy who had two 12" 'bahns in a prefab box. Subs not screwed to the box, ground taped to the top of the trunk lid, amp unsecured to the floor.

Or the guy who had home extension cord wire running through his passenger door jamb, running his Roadmaster 6x9's which were sitting on the rear seats.

i think that the feds should impose a internet sales tax or a servie fee for orders purchased online. mabye this will level the playing field. i can usually meet the price forthe sake of gettingthe install but once i add on tax they walk. in az tax on a $1000 system is $83....i get it the guy saves 83 bucks....if the internet had a tax also mabye they would buy from me as well as install. i know we dont need any more taxes but its an idea. mabye the flat tax is a good idea....
