the reason it keeps stopping was because the end of the wire kept melting away and i had to keep pushing it into the socket. ill get a better one later on lol.

ok here is a question for you all.

every time i have owned a speaker. the leads off the voice coil were opposite each other on DVC speakers. thus, i have installed the terminals in the same fashion assuming that the coils were wound as such.

other than hooking each coil up to a power source and visually checking the movement of the cone on a lower power\frequency, what is a way i can test to see which lead off the coil is posative and which is negative?

i can find no markings on said coil to distinguish positive or negative.

never mind i figured it out. my good friend mir helped me out.

well i tried it and it workd, must have had the coils wired backwards in the dark lol.

too lazy + rain today = nothing done.

i need to go on a trip to NY next next weekend for the 4th, and then my squadron goes to fallon nevada, then nellis (las vegas) nevada for a few weeks, then i should have some extra cash and buy a nice big ~4Kw amp for the two 18's and ill put a box together as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ill have updates in the near future, but im in no rush. might try one of them on the belle in a box i currently have - a small 2.6 cubes with external ports prolly. we will see what happens.
