Check it n00bx... *pics*

After seeing more than my share of melted down vehicles in the 20 years I have been installing, your comment of "The differance between that story and this one... we're not retarded." just does not fit. For the simple expense of some fuse holders you are gambling with all you have invested in the vehicle and the system that something might not short out, or might not get pinched in a minor collision. Protect your investment dude. I should copy and paste that pic and post it as the most ghetto install ever for lack of fusing and see how many people agree with me.

Perhaps in your trailer park it is alright for you to do, for myself as a professional installer, it is people like you that give the industry a bad name.

What does it matter? Its his own car. Now if he was installing it in another persons car, I could understand. Im sure he has his reasons for lack of fusing whether it be voltage loss, time, or some other reason.

Fukking lawl...

I'm a professional installer as well bud, this is my personal vehicle... and I have taken different precautions.

I have QUITE A FEW fancy pants Kicker fuse holders, like the one you see be the amp in the rear. I CHOSE not to use them, b/c they were superfluous.

If you wanted to be entirely a ******... and live in the world of WHAT-IFs... then you would have to fuse within a few inches of the front battery... AND a few inches of the rear battery. As well as... my alternator leads (which haven't been fused for over 3.5years.

So that's... 8fuse holders/fuses.... just for the electrical side... not to mention the actual inline to the amps. Those EIGHT are absolutely superfluous. The conduit is ribbed, is oil... water... and heat resistant. That's why it was chosen. Not to mention how thick and resiliant it is... as well as the jacket on the wire itself.

The conduit is my protection... it's my "piece of mind" instead of a a bajillion fuses.

Please go back to super duper 12v.com, and continue to right your gay articles that nobody cares about. At least there... you feel like you're special... instead of being a what-if piece of shit like you truly are here... and in real life.

I'll continue to live... (no where near a trailer park mind you... Mr. *** packer)... and have a dandy good time... not living in what-ifs.

Oh, your name is quite funny as well. It'll probably be similar to what you see next time you try to visit this site.

nG

PS: All that matters is the SOUND. And you can stop by to HEAR my truck whenever you like... bring yours as well... it'll no question be more SHOW than GO.

Ok, so dont take this the wrong way because its just a question. You said you are a professional installer right? Do you ever show customers your vehicle? In the past I have used my vehicles to sell installs based on both preformance AND workmanship. I completly agree with you that your vehicle is functional, thats not my issue, but you yourself all but admitted that it looks horrible. You can sit a 17 year old kid in your truck and rattle his head right off his shoulders, as can I, but I can also take out the 35 year old, who by the way generally has more money to spend on his system and show him the finer points of the vehicle and get him to spend his money with me based on that. If this is simply a vehicle you built for SPL than thats fine and thats why Im asking, I just wouldnt show a customer the wiring because while you can defend its integrety I dont think even Matlock can defend the presentation.

I'm tired of explaining myself.

As stated, the truck is visually POS. I bought it from my father when I was ~15.5, and it had already had paint problems when it was only 6years old. Not to mention, it's more unassuming...

I'm not pouring money into something I can'd take elsewhere... or sell. Everything I have no (except ~$60 in deadening) I can take out... and use elsewhere or sell.

So, yet again, as stated.

Performance > looks

At this point in my life... I don't have a nice truck. That's in the future, and when I will obviously care about the presentation as well as the performance.

My work speaks for itself, the sound speaks for itself, the presentation (when asked for) speaks for itself.

And, I'm done. I no longer feel the need to justify myself... when I'm am more than confident with my abilities... and the performance. To each his own. So drop it.

Mate id take the 12volt over this hole anyday. Atleast they teach proper installs, not half *** principals. Fuses are not superfluous, and i agree with forbidden, its carless idiots like you that give the industry a bad name. No fuses may be alright for your beat up tralier park ride, but most people live in the world of what ifs and actaully want to live to see a pube on there small balls, unlike you obviously. Welcome to idiotville population YOU

Cool. Is there a thread about me now...

whata douche, get a ******* life

some people dont care what their system looks like, some go for function>looks, you can fiberglass and neon light what ever you want, but if it sounds like arse, then im going to take the less nice looking stuff that sounds way better

These guys certainly do care quite a bit what someone else does to their own truck.

If Ngsm want to cut his floorboard and go Flintstone feet style, why does it matter so much to them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
