My knowledge of cheater amps is that they either rate them at a very low voltage (so when they are in your car they get more voltage and increase power), or they only rate them at 4 ohms, but are stable at 1 ohm, also resulted in much more power. I don't know any off the top of my head, but there are a couple floating around here.Originally posted by mamey69 What are they??? who makes them??
a good one????
**** from tiny 25x2 to 800x1Originally posted by n2audio The old school opti 50c. I think it was rated at 25x2 and did 800x1 @ 1/2 ohm bridged, and I'm quite sure you could have fried an egg on it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
They can still be found on ebay once in a while. The newest ones would be at LEAST 10 years old.
I thinks thats pushing it...I think its more around 600Originally posted by Matador you mean like the ED NINe.1 who rate 409 @2ohm @11v, while it actually puts out 800+ @14.4V?![]()

2 x 300 @ 1 Ohm
2 x 600 @ .5 Ohm
1 x 300 @ 4 Ohm
1 x 600 @ 2 Ohm
1 x 1200 @ 1 Ohm
This amp is WAY underrated, it puts out around 1600 watts rms at 1 ohm mono, not 1200.
