Mister, as you said, the reason for the ram is because I like to have multiple windows open. I'm sick of my present comp bogging down if more than 1 is open, though it could just be "sick". I'm going to wipe it clean this weekend and see if that fixes whatever issues it has. If it works then great, but i'll still prob buy laptop.

Remember guys, anything made in the last 2 years would be "new" compared to what i'm working with now. And I do use it for more then just surfing the web, but nothing out of the norm that would require any special components to be installed.
