If you mean the 1-piece cone version, I agree they looked better, but they had problems with the cones coming apart iirc. If it were me If just get the v3's.

A couple of years ago, I think there was a guy on OT that had a handful and was letting them go at $250 a pop. But I have not checked there in a while.

Same thing ID told me, the v3 was "easier to make"

Interesting, I heard the cones were breaking, from multiple sources. *shrug*

I dont see why ID would arbitrarily decide to go with a cheaper cone. Why not use an off the shelf frame while they were at it?

There was also something with the coil being misaligned.
