Cheap Trunk Lid Ratteling Solution

i should also add, great stuff is just like hot wax, i got it all over my arm when working with it above my head, it didn't bond to my skin at all, but ripped every hair on my arm off. So if you value your hair, keep it away from this stuff at all costs

Haha, yes and it will do the same to anything it gets on and dries on in your car. Upholstry, paint, woofer cone/ surround. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Make sure everything is lined with plastic.

ok i got ya now.. just provide enough bracing in between any hollow spots where there's like over an inch of space between the trunk frame and the interior of the actual trunk right..

also what brand of undercoating spray did you use? I'd like to know what im looking for in home depot i guess... never heard of it before

Theres only one type that ive ever seen and I dont think home depot has any. I know wal mart does. It's a blue and white can I think its labeled undercoating spray or rubberized undercoating spray.

I fill all of the space that I possibly can without putting any in the vital spots where wires and bulbs are. But the big things is to fill all of the cavities or veins.

hey just had an idea. I'm definitely going to do this to my trunk as I love cheap solutions. However what about this...

If I used Peel N Seal and a heat gun to apply the stuff to my trunk lid and THEN caulked the edges and sprayed everything with Rubberized Undercoat - wouldn't that ensure that the PnS stays in place? because I know a lot of people complain that in hot weather it can come off or melt but that might keep it in place and reinforce it.

Or would it make more sense to caulk and rubberize first for a first layer or something. Want to make sure I get it done right the first time.
