cheap DMM

would this dmm be enough to check ohm load at the coils to make sure all wiring is correct? also to help with setting gains, and all of this??? i dont know how to tell if it is or not.

I don't see anything...

all you need is VOM (volt-ohm-millammeter).

I bought my big one from Lowe's for $50, I also have a really small one that I use for voltage monitoring of deep cycle batteries on a float charge...I bought that one for twenty bucks.

Since I use one on a daily basis I sprung for a Fluke last year. I bought an 88 series. Does everything, with RPM as well. Hands down best meter I have ever owned. Previous to the fluke I had two craftsman meters that worked okay for a while, but then they would start to lose their accuracy and flucuate alot.
