Cheap DD Replicas

If possible could someone do a demo on applying the epoxy to the sub? Would be a good tutorial. I'm going to get one of these and I know I'm going to hurt it LOL.
It'll take a whole tube to do it my way... it's simple, though.

Apply it above the ring on top of the factory glue on top of the top spider (don't go in any farther than the outside edge of the first roll, that one really doesn't move), I applied it all the way down the sides of the ring as well, and then all the way around the lip on the basket where the ring attaches to the basket. Thats all there is to it.

This will be lame, but could you do a paint sketch of it? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm not an artist //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Next time I have it out of the box I'll take a picture, or maybe someone else can sketch for ya.

It's just Epoxy... buy it @ Wal-Mart. Get the kind with the "mixing tube" you can put on the end so you can control where it goes.

And remember... this does NOT fix the inner spider roll from inverting itself and making a popping sound. Which may or may not be a problem on ALL of these -- but I have seen it on 2 out of 6 of these that I've had my hands on.

I'm sure the first thing on every woofer manufacturer's mind is to claim that the magnet weight of their motor is over 25% smaller than what it really is. That's a brilliant marketing tactic! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
The overall motor weight is a piss poor indicator. 6.5 pounds of steel has a volume of roughly 23 cubic inches. That is not very much material at all. There are so many places to hide 23 cubic inches in a motor structure that is well over 300 cubic inches total. You have already mentioned several of these places yourself.

I'll not argue with you on the bottom line though. For the money, ehh why not. It's definately not going to compare very well with a 9500, but it doesn't have to when you can buy 3 of these for the same money.
Again, he never said it was that they wanted to say that, could easily be a typo, or more likely a mistranslation seeing as how it is a Chinese company. I dealt with a fair amount of Chinese companies over the summer, they're documentation and translations ****.
