Cheap DD Replicas

I am actually viewing because it interests me. And I am all for cheap subs that perform. Better than paying an assload for something that performs near the same.

I smell HD3C.....

It's definately not an exact copy of the HD3c. I can see a few differences by looking at the pictures. The top plate looks alot thicker than the HD3c, plus the basket isn't exactly the same. If you add those to a few more that Sundownz mentioned, like the spider spacers, and glue joint problems (HD3c spiders are bolted and glued), it's safe to say it's not as similar as is appears at a glance. It does LOOK pretty similar though. It's probably not too bad of a woofer for the money.

Thats good and well and all, and you can make fun of these companys all you want, but I remeber when you had that thread promoting the adassa amps you ran, and someone said anything bad about them, or they looked ghetto or sucked, you about flipped your wig. Kinda ironic to me. But your the same guy that tried to discredit the zapco 9.0 for not having big enough power rails, when everyone knows what they can do.

You have been spaming all the DD posts lately about the rope and them falling apart, and its funny because you give Dave a hard time for posting pics of DD products. At least he is posting something positive. No matter how you look at it.

I thought the basket looked different too. Some slight differences in the spoke spacing and the vents below the spokes.

But hell, even if it performs half as good right out of the box, and 9500 parts drop right in, you're still saving yourself an assload of money.

I think what he meant by the baskets is that the HD3C is using the 12 spoke basket. Maybe they changed this but that's what they showed in the pictures.

AQ uses the same baskets as DD, which appears to be fairly similar to the basket on these subs, though not exactly the same.

That's not the production sub... That was one of the first prototypes.

Ah cool, thanks. I didn't see those updated pics. You're right; the baskets look pretty different and look more like the Cadence subs.
