I took over as head mechanic of a bowling ally. one of the biggest noise makers of these pinsetters is this big steel wheel that pulls pins to the top. my plan to cut down on noise is to out stips of sound deadner to spots on the wheels to stop the ringing noise. what would be a cheap deadner that will take the abuse of pins hitting all the time. thanks.

effective = secondskin, Cheap? No.

Cheap and effective? hmmm, if you dont mind it being asphalt based you have a million options. . . . Fatmat aka peel n seal almost. . . . butyl based u have some options....... all depends.

You may also want to look into using open-celled acoustical foam placed around the area to absorb some of the sound that does come from the wheel.

raw materials cost money people. Just save up and get the good stuff. Peal and Seal does not work well. Trust me, I know, I've used it on my car. It sucks balls. It works barely at all.

Thats why I am getting some Damplifier and Overkill to smother my god **** road noise. I might even snag up some eDead v3 or Spectrum and Cover my Damplifier in that.

Tootles.
