Since I have finished my HT system car audio is not much of a priority for me anymore, so I’m putting my “budget active SQ system” up for sale. I never installed any of this equipment, and everything is in excellent condition. Prices are fair and firm and INCLUDE shipping to the lower 48. Pictures can be found on my photobucket page here: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b319/dewi1219/Car%20audio%20for%20sale/

ARC (Rainbow) ACS-265 6.5” comps – If you aren’t familiar with this set, it uses the Rainbow SLC mid with the CAL25 tweeter. It is an awesome sounding budget comp set. One of the best things about it is that the mid has a shallow (2-1/2”) mounting depth with a small (less than 3”) diameter magnet, so it will fit many shallow doors where other comps won’t. I bought these as BNIB on ebay, but the tweeter flush mount cups were missing when I received them. I didn’t need them so I never bothered replacing them, but I’m sure you can get them from one of the Rainbow reps here. Angle surface mounts are included. These were only hooked up for a few minutes in my test boxes to see how they sounded. Excellent condition cosmetically and functionally. $210 shipped.

Phoenix Gold XS6600 amp – This is THE amp for a budget active 3-way setup for use with any head unit. It has internal 2 or 3-way crossovers at 24dB/oct with XO points set via R-nets like the Audiocontrol units use. Rated at 50X4 plus 75X2 or 200X2 plus 300X1 bridged. It is also stable to 2 ohms bridged. Remote gain controller is included. The stock 100Hz XO modules are included, and I also have resistors for 47Hz, 75Hz, and 2400Hz that I will throw in as well. It even accepts speaker level inputs. Cosmetically I would rate it 9.5/10 just because it is a little dusty. Otherwise it basically looks brand new. I already regret selling this amp. $190 shipped.

Kicker KQ30 1/3 octave eq – This is a great eq, and it handles up to 8 volts in and out. Clipping indicators for inputs and outputs as well. Awesome unit for the money, and it is also in excellent condition. $90 shipped.

eD SQ10s (pair) – These are BNIB, but I did hook one up for a couple minutes in a test box. Very nice shallow mount budget SQ subs with impressive build quality. S4 voice coils. I also have a fiberglass box built for these (see below). $55 shipped each or $100 shipped for the pair.

Fiberglass sub box – This box was built for my daily driver ’05 Sentra, but it is small and should fit almost any trunk. Internal volume is somewhere around .8 cu ft, and the external dimensions are approx 34.5” wide X 15.5” tall X 8” maximum depth. This box was built for the SQ10s (3” mounting depth), so you will have trouble mounting anything over 3-3.5” deep. Covered in PE charcoal carpet. T-nuts have been installed for driver mounting, but no wiring has been done yet. $110 shipped. If you want it with the SQ10s, I’ll install them and do it all for $190 shipped.

I have several references here, and I have 100% positive feedback on ebay under dewi1219. If you’re interested please email me at dewi1219@aol.com because I don't get on here much any more. Sorry, no dibs - first come first serve. Thanks.

Scott

From ARC's website:

Diameter: 6.5"

Max power : 210 watts

Normal power : 110 watts

Sensitivity: 90 db

Frequency response : 50Hz-20KHz

Impedence: 4 ohm

Not a lot of info, but if you search on elitecaraudio.com or diymobileaudio.com there are some reviews. The CAL25 is considered one of the best small format tweeters around, and the SLC mid gets great reviews too.

I have Polk db series comps that I'm running with almost 300 watts a piece and they are rms 100 watts. But then you have to take into account what each thing can take, such as the midbass and the tweeter alone. In which case the tweets on this set are rated for 50 rms and the midbass are rated for 100 rms. Which would mean you should be able to run 150watts safely.

Those comps should be able to take anything you throw at them pretty much.
