A persons life is his own. No one has an enforcible claim to it, or to preserve it but the individual. If you own a $30K+ car, you should be able to afford the impound fees.

they have been doing this hoss.... a undercover cop car got sold to my friends dad. he bought it for his soon. It was a 350z to but blue with a black hood and still had the strobes and stuff in it. Nice *** car but a drunk driver hit him and totalled it. Seen this on the news yesterday..nice *** mustang

I think 1st offense should be to lose your vehicle and your license for 1 year, mandatory.

I don't condone street racing or anything, but taking away someones car for a year seems pretty harsh to me. They should give out a good sized ticket or something and have the 2nd offense be more harsh. Just so people can have a wake-up call before they make a mistake that costs them a ton of money and freedom.

This country lets rapists, thieves and murderers have rights, and priveleges. They get off easy, with little to no time, the victims dont matter. And you want to sit here and talk about street racers? Please.

valid point. I guess for me it depends on the severity of street racing. for kids my age (17), at least in my area only really go off of stoplights on deserted roads. plus once they get to 60 they just quit it. But i supposed these people are crazy and actually do real street racing.

Basically I'm just saying I would /myself if i lost my car for going 0-60 quickly.
