I said maybe they race the car at the track on the weekend. Its illegal to have it hooked up and on anyway, but i doubt these cops are going to give a sht if its on or not. Also, i didnt see any "rules" or exceptions of this rule, street racing is street racing, no matter what you drive. Doesnt say only non-street legal cars, it only says street racing.

i just re read it, and did not see a single sentence saying that. It states the the cars they were talking about were made street legal again, but doesnt say the law only applies to those.

I'm sorry, but if the police tried to take my 30k car just cause I got in a little street race, my lawyer would have a field day. And if I'm going 160mph, the cop isnt going to catch me...not unless you live in a big city where the air unit has like a 5 minute response time.

and giong 160 mph, they will catch you shortly after you wrap it around a pole. thats how they usually end.

I don't see how street racing can justifiably carry a fine of $30k+. Makes no sense, and is clearly grossly excessive. Both those cars will do 160 on the interstate safely and comfortably with the right rubber. Of course, I'm not justifying street racing.

someone says take a license...how many idiots everyday drive without a license? Does you car ask you if you have a valid license before starting/moving?

in 99% of the cases it doesn't..

I think this is being done to teach lessons very quickly...basically...**** with our streets, we are going to take your shit...and you can watch us pull your friends over in it too...

Because you are putting everyone elses lives at risk. You don't have that right or privledge.

So again, take the license away, or put more cops on the street, or put a larger fine, or impound the car and take the person. There are plenty of ways to help this then to take peoples cars from them.

Id also rather see this happen to people that get caught driving drunk, which kills far more poeple then street racing every year.
