the constitution just says "unreasonable searches and seizures" if you have something that is made to break a law, ie a car made the street race, then why is confiscating it so wrong?
Is it wrong for someone to confiscate a meth lab?

Any car is "made" to break the law you douche, any new car doesnt have the governor at 65, so any car can speed and race.

I cant believe you guys actually agree with this sht.

And comparing a car to a meth lab is a little slanted.

if you want to have an intelligent discussion don't result to 6th grade name calling.

There is a difference in a car being able to speed and a car made to speed. Unless you think there is another reason for having nitrous in a car other than street racing?

whether you realize it or not, when you get your lisence you are agreeing to forfeit your car under certain circumstances... so its not like they are seizing it illegaly.

your side of the argument is along the same lines as the people that complained when they got banned after the plane took off...

the car isnt made to break the law... its made to accomodate for different driving circumstances. if it was made to adhear to the law, it would have a GPS system that would tell what road it was on and limit the car to that speed limit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

You failed to answer the importance of nitrous in a vehicle that isn't made to street race. I'm pretty sure that they aren't going to go confiscating random cars as it would piss off to many people, but I know in my town there are a select few of cars that are running from the police every weekend, and all they do is write them a ticket for not having liscense. I would love to see there cars confiscated

i agree that the decision should be made by a courtroom. but guess what, you get caught doing a certain speed over the limit, you lose your lisence on the spot and are hauled directly to jail. so i guess the upside is that the state will voluntarily hold your vehicle until you are proven guilty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I said maybe they race the car at the track on the weekend. Its illegal to have it hooked up and on anyway, but i doubt these cops are going to give a sht if its on or not. Also, i didnt see any "rules" or exceptions of this rule, street racing is street racing, no matter what you drive. Doesnt say only non-street legal cars, it only says street racing.

Driving is not a constitutional right, dimwit. It is a privledge.

But having my property seized without due process most certainly is. And i wouldnt say that one cops word is due process.

fact of the matter is you don't see any rule. All your seeing is a news report on it. Quit making assumptions.
