Changing wire gauge

i have like 10 feet of 4 awg wire then like 20 8 awg to power a MTX Blue Thunder PRO150X2 Amplifier. If i started out with the 4 then brought it down to the 8 would it recieve more power then just running it all 8

also does how many strands a wire has effect the power going through it or does it just effect the flexability

you would get the same ammount of power, but current will flow easier through 4 guage than 8 guage.

Power = Water from house hold faucet

8 guage = House hold whose

4 guage = Firefighter whose

No it won't, run all 4 or all 8.... do you need 4?

OK so is this the only amp? if so you should be find with just 8ga

this would be the 3rd amp but ill be running pioneer revs 6.5 comps off of it which will pull like 120 watts
