Changing stock highs and mids to aftermarket

I'm kind of a big deal...
Ok, my bass is just about where I want it to be and the next step to my system is highs and lows. I go to look on the internet to see what i should buy and realize I know exactly nothing about it. I have about 300$ to work with and I need a set of coaxials, and some door speakers (I think). I have an x-cab truck (97 gmc sierra). So given the 300$ budget for spkrs and amp, help me out???

thats the thing, i dont know...i wanna replace all my factory speakers though...so i think ill need coaxials, and doors. i think thats it, but im not sure

It really isn't necessary to have rear speakers in order to have a great system. You may be better off devoting the entire $300 to front components, an amp, and possibly deadening the doors.

Suggestions for speakers

Rainbow Soundlines

DLS

OZ Audio

Boston Acoustics

But if you do feel the need to have rear speakers, I would only devote a small amount of money to them. Something like this might be okay:
