Changing port on box! help

I have a regular, temporary, single ported box. I'm guessing the port is tunned to somewhere around 45-55 hz. Can I cover up the port and make a new hole on the side of the box for an areo port? This is so I can tune it to 38 hz. Would this mess up the box?

um. no. the internals of the box is what determines the way the air moves. its made to move and exit where your current port is. covering your port and putting in an aero port would yeild the same results as takin a prefab sealed box, and removing the terminal cup. does this sound ok to you? no... it doesnt. jus build a box with aeros
