Changing a box-mounted amp?

Hey I'm new here so I'm a noob at car audio = ). But I was wondering, I currently have a rockford fosgate amp mounted on the back of my ported sub box and I'm getting a new Hifonics BXi 1606D amp tomorrow. The amp is held there with 4 wood screws and if i took them out wouldn't i have to seal them up and if so whats the best solution?

I would dab a little calk or silicone in the holes and use new holes...You want the amp as stable as possible and by using the same hole twice it will become a looser fit and more play with the amp moving!

Depends on where it is screwed, but yes, wood glue is your best bet.

You can always leave the screws in there, that will fill the hole, but it has to sit flush if you want to place your new amp in that spot.
