Sounds to me that it'll be a 3-way like my alpine and the other eclipses...eclipsi? whatever... we'll see.
**** what did ya type this while we were on the phone? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gifI have no confirmation yet whether it'll handle 4way active on the production version- although I was told so earlier in the week by a tech at Eclipse that it'll control a 3way active FRONSTAGE. Perhaps the sub chs are such in the xover that they can be used for L/Mid use?Weird..So No confirmation whether it'll have 3 sets of preouts, 4 sets, or 3sets plus a mono for sub. Whether they will make a companion processor for it or capability to control the DCU105 processor. The new look of the CD7000 is what the '07 line is to appear like, as this unit will be carried over in '07. The change from 8v to 5v on the upper deck was a decision made strictly by Eclipse Japan.
I guess time will tell..
I was originally misinformed or misunderstood the info the tech gave me. When I originally asked if it was three way Frontstage capable the answer was yes. I ASSumed a 4th whether mono or stereo sub out was also going to be there.Manny,
Thanks for the info on the Burr-Brown DAC; I would have never known. It dumbfounds me why Eclipse would not advertise a well known and respected feature. Fujitsu-Ten can be Japanese centric sometimes I guess.
I really don't think the CD7000 has any significant performance difference than the previous 8455, 8454, or 8503/8443 -- just added (and deleted) features. All indications from their 2006 catalog indicates 3 pre-outs, not 4. Please see scanned pics below.
