Just looking for some opinions on firing direction for sub/port in a center console style box.

I've never done a center console enclosure before, so im unfamiliar with firing directions. From what i have read, it seems the best bet is to have subs and port on the same side of the box for best output...... which direction?

this is for a crew cab truck too, so the only limiting firing direction would be down.

Here is the first idea i have drawn up:

Port is firing up behind the sub. Box is tuned to 40hz. The dude that built it said it was in the 50s for sure.

I know alot of people go with down firing setups in a center console. I plan on doing a box like the one above, but with an aero out the side so I can change tunings.
